Unique & quirky art deco style tea set by Melba China. With a bright and bold pattern of yellow flowers, red berries and cool blue triangles, the set is unusually finished with blue edging rather than the traditional golden gilt.

(Please note, that there is a small chip and hairline fracture on the milk jug. We could not bear to split this set up, so we have adjusted the price accordingly instead!)

Wonderful Tuscan China boldly decorated with wide pink bands and black outlining and handle (rather than gilt).
Scalloped edges to all three pieces. The backstamp dates the collection to 1920's, and this is so evocative of the time - bold, unconventional, beautiful.
A little wear to the rims but stunning.

Absolutely exquisite, excellent quality and outstanding styling.
Melba only produced china for five years which means it´s unusual to find a set like this. What they did produce was always of the finest china, and this is extremely delicate - the porcelain itself is very thin (it´s not one to be bashed about!). Finished in vibrant yellows and with black edges rather than gilt, superb. In good condition apart from a little staining and one or two rubs.

Art-deco style in abundance, with lovely hand-painted enamelled detailing and a pattern which repeats through the plate cup and saucer to make a very handsome trio. The tea plate is square, which also adds to the style of the piece

There are one or two minor firing marks on these, but this is just part of the manufacturing process and part of their charm.
